Christo & Linnie
Eirene Health Shop was founded in 2000 when Christo and Linnie Lues decided they needed to answer a calling on their lives to teach and heal people.
Christo originally qualified as an electronic engineer and specialised in biomedical engineering in the late 1980's. Linnie qualified as a dietitian specialising in diabetes and infertility.
While running successful practices their oldest son fell critically ill after a vaccination. After conventional medicine had given up on the cause for the sick child, they turned to natural medicine. It took them many months to connect the vaccination to his subsequent illness.
Guided by God's grace and patient natural medicine practitioners, their oldest son became well and started thriving after years of chronic illness.
Christo was so impressed and intrigued by what natural medicine could accomplish that he started studying natural medicine in depth. He studied energy medicine for a number of years gaining a thorough understanding of the workings of the energetic systems of the body. Backed by his biomedical background a new world opened when he discovered the world of quantum physics and the influence it has on the human body. Homeopathy made sense for the first time!
Wanting to learn more about what the body needed to function optimally he studied clinical nutrition. He practiced this for some years when he came cross Live Blood Analysis. This was new in South Africa at the time, and Christo realised that this was what was missing in his practice. He was trained and now specialises in Live Blood Analysis. Christo is reckoned amongst his colleagues as one of South Africa's foremost naturopaths.
Christo became more and more frustrated with continual contradictory advice his clients were receiving from other sources, and with their lack of common knowledge about natural medicine. This led him produce a six part professional DVD Understanding The Health Puzzle in 2007 to assist his clients. It has since been screened numerous times on television.
Since then Christo produced various courses and lectures on natural First Aid, Children’s Illnesses and many more. Since 2000 he has consulted tens of thousands of clients and helped them recover from every day illnesses to severe life threatening illnesses.
With three decades of clinical experience with health conditions and available supplements, Christo became increasingly frustrated with ineffective poorly formulated supplement ranges. In 2018 he started product development of a unique supplement range, Cheyne’s. Over the years he has seen the effects of the formulas and was able to adjust formulations to achieve optimal clinical effectiveness. Currently there is about 40 products in the range.
Christo now practices as a Naturopath and still sees people on a daily basis to help them find the way for their bodies to recover.
Christo and Linnie are happily married since 1991 and have been blessed with eight very healthy children and more recently their first grand child.
Linnie
Linnie studied and practiced as a dietician in the late 1980’s. When their son fell ill she became frustrated with what the main stream medical training had taught her. She stopped practicing as a dietician and became a full time mom, raising and home schooling their eight children. She raised all the children with natural medicine which gave her extensive experience with child birth, childhood illnesses as well as staying healthy as a family. She cooks from scratch, bakes sourdough spelt bread for the family, homeschools the 3 younger sons as well as form the back bone of all finance needed to run a successful business. Linnie is a strategic thinker and is the right hand of Christo in life.
Marie Lawson
Marie started out as a client many years ago and have been a solid supporter of Eirene for decades. With her children growing up, she experienced all the nerve wrecking moments when a child or family member falls ill. She has extensive experience in helping people recover from illness in a natural way.
Larize
Larize is responsible for social media and credit and stock control. She oversee all our social media content with great care and love. She is Christo & Linnie’s Daughter in law and a vital part of the machine.
Andrew
Andrew is the oldest of the four younger sons of Christo and Linnie. He is responsible for logistics, production, graphic design and video production. One of the most creative people on our team.
Daniel
Daniel has recently become a shop assistant in the store. He is the friendly talkative member of our sales team. He is responsible for sending out your online order asap
Micheal
Michael is the youngest of the eight children and is intimately involved in manufacturing and production of our range of products. His aspiration is to take over from Christo when the time comes.
